About Halcyon Golf Travel
Our Story
Halcyon Golf Travel is a British Golf Tour Operator; specialists in the planning and execution of bespoke golf vacations to Scotland, Ireland and England. Founded in 2018 by Jack Sallis, Halcyon was born from a love for exploration, nurturing friendships and an obsession of chasing a little white ball around a field. Jack was planning golf trips for himself and friends long before the days of Halcyon Golf Travel. He eventually realised that the great golf trips are the ones where you venture off the beaten track and bring home great stories. But these stories, they aren’t only written on the golf course. They come from the people you meet, the streets you walk and quite often the drinks are a useful catalyst! This is something Jack was passionate to bring to life with Halcyon. It’s not just about guaranteeing tee times at top golf courses and booking hotels. It’s offering a personal touch, paying attention to the moments in-between and facilitating exploration. In 2023 Lee Shepherd joined the Halcyon team as "Bookings Manager". Lee is English but spent his youth playing Div 1 College golf in the USA before returning to the UK in 2023. Lee has helped improve Halcyon's booking systems so that they're the most efficient and robust in the industry, as well as providing more band width for us to personally host more bespoke golf tours going forwards.

A passionate and accomplished golfer, Jack represented England as a junior and currently plays to a handicap of +4. He plays with hickory shafted golf clubs from time to time and prefers fast running, quirky golf courses. When he isn’t golfing, you might find him honing his darts skills, sampling a bottle of red or exploring Britain in a camper van with his partner Victoria.

Hi, I’m Jack Sallis, founder and director of experiences at Halcyon Golf Travel. I’ve been playing golf for 27 years and sometimes I play it very well, but nowadays I’m more focused on exploring the British Isles and finding the best experiences for you guys.
My mission is to make exploring our beautiful nations as easy as possible for you. It’s a dream of mine to be able to do this for a living and I’m driven to ensure that every single customer has the best possible adventure they could hope for.
I love being a point of contact for all of our customers. A friendly face to turn to for answers and advice whilst preparing for your vacation. My favourite part of the job is meeting you guys whilst you’re here, taking you for a pint or a few holes and sharing some laughs.

We are specialists in planning and executing golf trips to the UK on behalf of our customers. This consists of suggesting and booking your accommodation, tee times, caddies, transportation, dinner reservations, sightseeing and experiences unique to Scotland, England and Ireland. We combine all of these elements together and sell them to you as a customised package. Personal hosting services throughout your golf vacation are available on request.

All of the golf packages we sell are completely customized and the price depends on a number of factors. Ballpark figures are £3000-£8000 per person for a 1 week trip.
