Trip Itinerary
Spend a week exploring the richest area for inland golf in the whole of the UK. Surrey and Berkshire are blessed locations for golfers; sandy soil and beautiful heathland provides architects with perfect conditions for creating extraordinary golf courses. You're also within 30 minutes of London Heathrow airport and 1 hour of London itself, super convenient and with endless options for things to do in between your rounds of golf. If you'd like to play links golf whilst in England, you have Royal St Georges and Royal Cinque Ports just 2 hours south of your base, which just so happen to be two of the greatest links courses in the world. Remember, this itinerary serves just as an example of what your golf vacation could look like. Every aspect can be tailored to your liking- perhaps you'd like to spend a few days in London which is just 1 hour away, or you'd like to combine this itinerary with a few days in Ireland. Speak to a golf travel expert today to begin planning your dream itinerary.
Meet & greet at Heathrow Airport. 25 minute transfer to Oatlands Park Hotel which will be your base for the whole week.
The Old course at Walton Heath is a world class heathland course set in the tranquil Surrey countryside, often ranking in the top 100 courses worldwide. The club is a US open final qualifying venue and has hosted an array of professional and amateur events including the Ryder Cup in 1981 and the 2018 British Masters.
A heathland course with the wow factor. The course is of a modest length but you’ll find fairways and greens cut from seas of heather, the most punishing yet most stunning of all natural hazards. The course is a sight of scientific interest and has hosted a wealth of championships with it being one of the best courses in England. Within a few miles of Hankley there are lots of lovely country pubs, we recommend stopping at a couple on your way back to the hotel.
Pricing
This is just an example itinerary; we do not sell “off the shelf” packages. All of the golf trips we plan for our customers are bespoke, and so are the prices. Price depends on the dates you travel, party size, hotel rooms, transport choices, itinerary complexity and so on.
It’s no secret that booking through a tour operator like ourselves is more expensive than booking the golf trip by yourself . We’ve added links to all hotels and golf courses in the “at a glance” section if this is what you’re looking to do.
If however you’d rather leave the admin of 20 or 30 separate bookings to the experts and receive round the clock support and advice from a passionate, local golfer, then look no further. We’re confident in the level of service we provide to every customer and are proud to offer fair prices when compared to our competitors.
