Day 1 (Sunday)- Arrive, Edinburgh Airport

Meet & greet at Edinburgh Airport. 1hr15 transfer to The Rusacks Hotel, St Andrews. Afternoon at leisure. Optional round at St Andrews New or Jubilee depending on your flight time, or spend the afternoon exploring the “Auld Grey Toon”.

Day 2 (Monday) - Carnoustie (Championship)

18 holes at Carnoustie (1 hour drive). This legendary championship course is nicknamed “Car-Nasty” for a reason, you wont find many sterner tests of golf in Scotland. Upon your return to St Andrews enjoy an evening of fine dining at “Haar”. Overnight, The Rusacks.

Day 3 (Tuesday)- Muirfield

Muirfield is one of the best and most traditional golf clubs in the world. Home to “The Honourable Company of Edinburgh Golfers”, the course opens its gates to a lucky few visitors on Tuesdays and Thursdays. After your morning tee time, dress up into your jacket and tie and enjoy a bottle of wine and a 3 course carvery lunch. If you’re into your traditions, changing and going back out for 18 holes of foursomes in the afternoon is as traditional as it gets. Overnight, The Rusacks.

Day 4 (Wednesday)- The Old Course, St Andrews.
A course like no other that requires very little introduction. Gaining access to The Old Course can be done by advanced reservation, ballot or queuing in the singles line at the starters hut. After golf enjoy dinner overlooking the 18th hole in the “18” restaurant at The Rusacks.
Day 5 (Thursday) - Royal Troon
Check out of The Rusacks and embark on a 3 hour drive (or 1 hour in a helicopter) to Royal Troon, where the 2024 Open Championship will take place. The last time The Open was held here Phil Mickleson and Henrick Stenson broke away from the pack in one of the most epic battles in Open history, the Swede coming out just on top. After golf, experience a private, tutored whisky tasting session in Troon, customized to your tastes and budget. The sky’s the limit here with one of the most extensive and exclusive collections of whisky in the world. Your hotel in Troon is The Marine, an iconic building which actually overlooks some of the golf course.
Day 6 (Friday)- Prestwick
Prestwick is dubbed “The home of The Open” as it was here the first 10 Open Championships were played. The course is a quirky piece of art laid down by Old Tom Morris; the clubs first green keeper and club maker who also won The Open 4 times at Prestwick. The clubhouse is delightfully traditional, bring a jacket and tie and enjoy lunch before or after your game and take in the history dotted around the place. Overnight, The Marine.
Day 7 (Saturday)- Turnberry (Ailsa)
Turnberry has hosted some of the most iconic Open Championships such as the 1977 “Dual in the Sun” between Jack Nicklaus and Tom Watson, and Tom Watsons narrow defeat to Stewart Cink in 2009. Since the Trump takeover of Turnberry significant improvements have been made to the course and facilities, it firmly deserves its spot in the top10 courses in the world. Pricing

This is just an example itinerary; we do not sell “off the shelf” packages. All of the golf trips we plan for our customers are bespoke, and so are the prices. Price depends on the dates you travel, party size, hotel rooms, transport choices, itinerary complexity and so on.

It’s no secret that booking through a tour operator like ourselves is more expensive than booking the golf trip by yourself . We’ve added links to all hotels and golf courses in the “at a glance” section if this is what you’re looking to do.

If however you’d rather leave the admin of 20 or 30 separate bookings to the experts and receive round the clock support and advice from a passionate, local golfer, then look no further. We’re confident in the level of service we provide to every customer and are proud to offer fair prices when compared to our competitors.
