Robert Burns Birthplace Museum

Ayrshire & West Scotland

The Robert Burns Birthplace Museum in Alloway, Ayrshire, offers an immersive journey into the life and legacy of Scotland’s national poet, Robert Burns.

Operated by the National Trust for Scotland, the museum encompasses a collection of significant sites, including Burns Cottage—his birthplace—Alloway Auld Kirk, the Brig o’ Doon, and the Burns Monument, all within a short walking distance.

Set amidst 10 acres of scenic Alloway countryside, the museum offers a comprehensive experience, including themed events, guided tours, and family-friendly activities. Facilities on-site include a café serving traditional Scottish fare, a gift shop, and accessible amenities for all visitors.

The museum is open daily from 10:00 to 17:00, with the last entry at 16:30.  Admission fees apply, with discounts available for National Trust for Scotland members. For more information or to plan your visit, please refer to the official website.
