Established in 1889, this historic club offers two exceptional 18-hole courses: the world-renowned Championship Links and the picturesque Annesley Links.

The Championship Links is celebrated for its challenging layout, featuring narrow fairways that weave through towering sand dunes, ‘bearded’ bunkers adorned with marram, red fescue, and heather, and fast, undulating greens. Golfers are treated to breathtaking views of the Mountains of Mourne and Dundrum Bay, enhancing the overall experience. There are however lots of blind shots and hidden hazards, so if its your first time we highly recommend taking a caddy.

Throughout its storied history, Royal County Down has hosted numerous prestigious tournaments, including the Irish Open, the Walker Cup, and the Senior British Open Championship. Its esteemed reputation is reflected in its consistent ranking among the top golf courses globally.

The clubhouse offers a range of world-class facilities, including the Murlough Bar and Dining Room, where guests can relax and enjoy views of the 18th green and the Mountains of Mourne. The professional’s shop provides a comprehensive selection of golfing equipment and apparel, ensuring visitors have access to all necessities for their game.
