Portstewart Golf Club

Northern Ireland

Portstewart Golf Club, located on the stunning Causeway Coast of Northern Ireland, boasts three exceptional courses: the Strand, the Riverside, and the Old Course.

The Strand Course is the most renowned, famous for its towering dunes, undulating fairways, and breath-taking views of the Atlantic Ocean. Designed by Willie Park Jr., it offers a challenging links experience and may quite possibly have the most dramatic opening nine holes in the world of golf.

The opening stretch of holes is particularly memorable, running along the coastline and requiring accurate tee shots to avoid the dunes. The Riverside Course offers a more sheltered experience, winding through parkland and featuring the River Bann. 10 holes on The Old Course is a perfect way to work up an appetite before dinner, we recommend taking 3 clubs and playing the 10 hole coastal route before going for dinner at Amicis which is just behind the 18th green.

Portstewart has hosted prestigious tournaments, including the Irish Open, showcasing its championship pedigree. The club’s welcoming atmosphere, coupled with its stunning natural setting, makes it a must-visit for any golfer traveling to Northern Ireland.
