Jameson Golf Links

Dublin

Jameson Golf Links, situated within Portmarnock Resort, offers a rich blend of history and contemporary links golf.

The course’s origins date back to the 1850s when John Jameson (the whisky family) established a private nine-hole course on his estate, marking one of Ireland’s earliest golf layouts.

In 1995, the renowned golfer Bernhard Langer, in collaboration with architect Stan Eby, designed an 18-hole championship course on this historic land. This layout artfully incorporates the natural dunes and coastal terrain, presenting golfers with a challenging and authentic links experience.

A significant redevelopment in 2023 revitalized the course, enhancing its features and reaffirming its status as a premier golfing destination. The redesign introduced elevated tees and greens, strategic bunkering, and theatrical run offs that demand thoughtful play, all set against the stunning backdrop of the Irish Sea.

Beyond the course, Portmarnock Resort offers luxurious accommodations and amenities, making it easy to get a post round massage, or enjoy a drink in the award-winning Jameson Bar, celebrated for its blend of modern elegance and historical charm.
