Adam Gordon, GOLF TRAVEL EXPERT

I graduated from college in 2023 and went straight into a luxury travel agency, before making the move to Halcyon Golf Travel, where I get to combine two things I love: golf and travel.

Getting to visit courses I’d never have dreamed of playing before joining Halcyon is one of the best parts of the job, and there’s nothing quite like seeing how much our clients love the trips we put together for them.

I’m a single-figure handicap and have personally played over 50 of the UK & Ireland’s Top 100 courses.

“

Take a caddy. When you're playing a round a day, sometimes two, it gets pretty tiring - not only does a caddy make the walk much easier, they also tend to be locals and members who'll greatly enhance the experience with their expert knowledge of the course and local areas.

My advice to clients
Quick facts
Top 5 coursesDumbarnie, Royal Cinque Ports, Rosapenna St Patrick's Link, Tralee and Lahinch
Favourite areasKillarney and St Andrews for the many great pubs and restaurants away from golf
Favourite hotelLinks House, Dornoch. A wonderful small hotel across the road from Royal Dornoch, with fantastic service, large rooms and a great restaurant
Outside of workMy main hobbies aside from golf are playing soccer, attending West Ham games and playing Padel
Best HGT momentsVisiting clients with Lee last summer while he showed me the ropes, and completing two incredible FAM trips to Ireland with Jamie
